What We Collect
Information you provide
- Email address (for account creation)
- Display name and profile photo (via Google Sign-In, optional)
- Reflection answers submitted after reading stories (stored to track progress)
- Selected apps to block
Information collected automatically
- Stories read, XP earned, streak data
- App unlock events (which apps, how long)
- Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics — no PII in crash logs)
- Basic usage analytics (story completion rates, session length)
What we do NOT collect
- The content of blocked apps
- Your messages, photos, or files from other apps
- Precise location
- Contacts or call logs
- Content you view in blocked apps
Accessibility Service Data
MythIQ uses Android's Accessibility Service only to detect when a blocked app enters the foreground. We:
- Do not read any content from other apps
- Do not capture text, images, or audio from other apps
- Only receive the package name of the app that opened
- Use this solely to decide whether to show a wisdom story
This data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Usage Stats
If you grant Usage Stats access:
- We display your personal screen time data to you within the app
- This data is processed locally and never transmitted to our servers
- You can revoke this permission at any time in Settings → Apps → MythIQ → Permissions
How We Use Your Data

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Data Storage
- User data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS ap-south-1 (Mumbai, India)
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
- Authentication tokens are stored in Android Keystore via
flutter_secure_storage
Data Retention
- Active account data: Retained while your account exists
- Analytics events: 24 months (aggregated only after 12 months)
- Crash reports: 90 days
Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Access your data: Request a copy at aclawwing@gmail.com
- Delete your account and all associated data: In-app at Profile → Delete Account
- Export your story history and XP: Available in Profile → Export Data
- Correct your profile information: Editable in Profile settings
For GDPR/DPDPA requests, we respond within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
MythIQ is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has registered, contact us at aclawwing@gmail.com.
